Marianne Brown is an artist and producer of work in clay specializing in hand thrown functional stoneware with unique textured designs on each piece. The textures are made by pressing or rolling clay stamps of her own design into her work. She has displayed her work for several years at some major art shows throughout the Ohio Valley, including the St. James Art Fair, Summerfair Cincinnati, Penrod Art Fair and the Tennessee Craft shows as well as select galleries in the same area. Now there are more than 160 of Marianne’s stamp designs (and growing). She has more than 30 different items in six distinctly different glaze colors. Marianne has had collectors of her work across the United States and from England to Israel to Japan. Each piece is food safe as well as oven and dishwasher safe and all of the glazes she uses are lead free. Her studio is open by appointment, so call her to set up a time.
