Brian Haara, Bourbon Lawyer and Author of “Bourbon Justice: How Whiskey Shaped America” as he discusses the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. Brian Haara has figured out a way to combine his passion for law, history and bourbon with dusty bourbon stories that play out better than fiction. Brian found that old bourbon lawsuits tell the real story of bourbon history and they are way more interesting than marketing tales.
Brian will guide guests through a tasting of Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond, Henry McKenna 10 Yr Single Barrel Bottled in Bond and Old Grand-Dad Bottled in Bond. Tasting accompanied by light appetizers and a heavy does of bourbon legal history.
Brian is also author of the popular bourbon blog, Sipp’n Corn and host of his monthly podcast, Bourbon Community Roundtable. A cash bar and tours will be available during the event. Proceeds go directly towards the continued restoration efforts of the Ripy Mansion.
