Mary Dowling was a maverick and pioneer in the early days of Anderson County Bourbon making. Her story inspired a whole brand and that label has poured out (see what we did there?) some tremendous small batch bourbons. The newest release is a smooth, grain-forward Winter Wheat and makes the perfect base for a Whiskey Sour.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz MD Winter Wheat
- 3/4 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- Angostura bitters
- Egg white (optional)
Garnish:
Lemon peel and angostura bitters
Instructions
- Add bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
