Stave Fest to feature nine hours of free live music

A fantastic day of live music has been put together for the inaugural Stave Fest festival in downtown Lawrenceburg on Saturday, Sept. 7, with a little something for everybody to enjoy.

Along with the craft vendors on Main Street, several food trucks, and activities for kids, there will be free live music on the Green from 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., featuring 11 different musical acts.

The lineup will include:

11-11:45 a.m.Andy Palmer. This solo musician sings some southern rock and a little country. You may even hear some Prince and Bruce Springsteen.

11:45-12:30 p.m.Sean Caudill – Who knows what he might perform?! Sean sings everything from Elton John and George Jones to Motley Crue and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

12:30-1:15 p.m.R&R – This duo is made up of sisters Rayna Warford on guitar and Ramsey Nicholson on mandolin/guitar. They perform country/bluegrass/gospel music.

1:15-2 p.m.Billy Waford – This solo act plays guitar and sings covers of radio hits spanning throughout country and rock.

2-2:45 p.m.Brothers From Different Mothers – They will entertain you with a mix of old and new country along with some southern rock.

2:45-3:30 p.m.The Highs and The Lows – They are an American roots duo made up of Cole Ripy and Jessica Ripy. Some of their influences include Old Crow Medicine Show, Led Zeppelin, Jack White and Bob Dylan, among others.

 

3:30-4:15 p.m.Intowishin – This trio of Central Kentucky musicians cover a wide variety of genres as well as composing and performing many original tunes.

4:15-5 p.m. – Chris Fallis – This singer/songwriter/producer performs music from a variety of genres.

5-5:45 p.m.Jarrod Ray Stratton – This blue collar singer/songwriter’s performance will be inspired by growing up along the banks of the Kentucky River in Tyrone.

5:45-6:30 p.m. –  Sound check

6:30-7:30 p.m.Paul Williams – You can expect to hear him sing everything from Beatles to Nick Cave to some of Paul’s own originals.

7:30-9:30 p.m.Second Hand News – They are a Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band…  and that should tell you all you need to know about what to expect from them!

The Stave Fest begins at 10 a.m. and includes the 100-200 blocks of South Main Street, Western Avenue, and the Lawrenceburg Green. Admission is free. If you are coming for the music, just bring a chair and pick out a spot.
