Mark your calendars now for two great concerts this summer on the Lawrenceburg Green.
The City of Lawrenceburg and the Lawrenceburg/Anderson County Tourism office have scheduled two entertaining bands for the free concert series held downtown each summer. Both concerts are from 7-10 p.m.
The Concerts
June 8 – First up is The Groove Evolution, featuring Alyssa Laine and Steve Rutledge. Steve and Alyssa were both born and raised in Frankfort, both went to Franklin County High School, both are living their music dreams and both are coming back home with their band “The Groove Evolution.” Steve moved to Nashville in 1997 to pursue his musical dream and did just that. The producer/guitarist/vocalist has been on tour with many different artists on Nashville Record Labels from 2000- 2010 and is now venturing toward starting his new label. In 2013, Alyssa’s mom (Kristi) approached Steve about her musical daughter and Steve was blown away at her talent. After producing her first album and doing a couple of shows together, both realized their musical styles were so similar and how easy it was to put the whole show together with the addition of Alyssa to his band The Groove Evolution. She then moved to the Knoxville area and the rest is history. The two Kentucky natives are embarking on a musical classic rock experience while also working on Alyssa’s next CD. If you like Journey, Toto, Kansas, Heart, Fleetwood Mac and more, then you need to be at their show in Lawrenceburg!
While The Groove Evolution is rocking the stage, the Taqueria Garcia food truck will be set up nearby selling tasty Mexican food. West Sixth Brewing will have craft beer available to wash it down and Kona Ice will also be set up, offering cold treats.

July 13 – The Sweet Beats. This band puts on a Las Vegas-style Beatles tribute concert, recreating authentic Fab Four performances of 40 of the original band’s greatest songs. They don’t just play the music, they put on a show. Come prepared to be entertained. And come prepared to eat. The Crave A Go Go food truck from Louisville will be there selling some of the best food on wheels you can find. West Sixth Brewing and Kona Ice will also return with their cold creations.
