Salt River Outfitters, based here in Anderson County, operates on over 17,000 acres of private land in some of the best big buck areas in central Kentucky and eastern Kansas. They also offer eastern turkey hunts in both states as well. If you come here to hunt with them, you can stay in their 4,000-square-foot lodge, which has 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (one is handicapped accessible), a living area, a dining area, and a kitchen. They also have a game room with ping pong, darts and billiards and a fire pit area with lots of outside seating where you can enjoy the peaceful wooded setting.
