Make sure to be in downtown Lawrenceburg on Saturday, Nov. 20 for Light Up Lawrenceburg, when the Christmas lights along Main Street are turned on for the first time for 2021. There will be live music, refreshments, a visit from Santa and more. Most of the local shops and restaurants will be open, so make an evening of it and have dinner downtown and do some early Christmas shopping.
Here is the schedule:
6 p.m. – Welcome by Mayor Troy Young, followed by Christmas selections by Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts
6:10 p.m. – Light Up Count Down by Mayor Young, County Judge-Executive Orbrey Gritton and first responders
6:15 p.m. – Christmas selections by the Anderson County High School chorus
6:30 p.m. – Christmas story reading by Julie Wise
6:40 p.m. – Christmas performance by Kelly Puckett Dance Studio
6:45 p.m. – Santa arrives at the Green
There will also be gifts for the kids at the Commonwealth Credit Union booth
