Lawrenceburg’s annual Adult Trick or Treat on Friday, Oct. 29, will be the fifth year for creatively costumed adults, dancing witches, craft beer, wine slushies and more.
The event centers around downtown’s restaurants and merchants and has evolved into a bit more than that, with the addition of a dog costume contest, choreographed performances of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, and a few other activities that are still being planned.
Main Street, from Woodford Street to Court Street, will be closed at 6 p.m. to set up for the event, which lasts from 7-9 p.m. Most of the shops and restaurants downtown will be open late, with several offering their own special discounts and drawings for those who come in that night.
Out on Main Street, the tourism office tent will host the costume judging contest, Bourbon Beats Mobile DJ will provide the music, West Sixth Brewing will have craft beer, Rising Sons Winery will sell wine slushies, the Anderson Humane Society will host a pet costume contest, the Lawrenceburg Ghost Walk will sell tickets for their 8 p.m. walk, Lawrenceburg Candy Cottage will set up and the Anderson County Health Department will offer Covid vaccinations.
Events out on Main Street will include:
7 p.m. – Thriller dance performance
7:20 p.m. – Witches dance
7:40 p.m. – Thriller dance performance
