KET show to spotlight Anderson County

Lawrenceburg and Anderson County will be in the statewide spotlight in early October… and beyond.

Earlier this year Carrie Stambaugh and Kyle Lake, the hosts of the television show Downstream, which airs on KET, spent time filming at different locations in Anderson County, highlighting the recreational aspects of the Kentucky and Salt rivers in Anderson County and the county’s bourbon and wine industries. The result is a 30-minute episode that will feature the Four Roses bourbon distillery, Lovers Leap Winery, the Salt River, kayak fishing on Beaver Lake, bungee jumping over the Kentucky River, and downtown Lawrenceburg during one of the monthly Wheels of Time cruise ins.

The episode on Anderson County will premiere on PBS affiliate Kentucky Educational Television (KET) at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. A second airing will occur at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9 on KETKY. All Downstream episodes air statewide weekly at 1:30 p.m. (EST) on KETKY.

The content is also provided to local cable channels including Paducah TV2 as well as Louisville Metro TV and airs multiple times per week on each station. Broadcast viewership exposure is up to 3.3 million households when airing on KET stations; 846,000 on Metro Louisville and up to 25,000 on Paducah TV2. The episode will also be made available online at liquidkentucky.com in November.

Funding for the Downstream episode on Anderson County was provided by the Lawrenceburg/Anderson County Tourism Commission, Four Roses, and WesBanco.
